1979: Inception of MLK/Ashby Business Assosication

MLK/Ashby Business Association was incepted in 1979 to support the businesses located in the Vine City. Businessman Jerry Roberts to recruit new businesses into Vine City and keep alive the existing businesses in the area founded this organization. One of the main goals of this organization was to bring in grocery store and shopping center in Vine City.
